Menna Morey Studied Sculpture at Portsmouth College of Art before meeting her future husband. They then went on together to design and make jewellery in their long established and successful business.
After many years of creating jewellery (and their now grown up children) she recently returned to her first passion of sculpting, and started crafting and designing one-of-a kind fantasy figures (at the bottom of the garden!).
Menna hand-makes each figure from polymer clay, enabling a level of detail which is difficult to achieve in other mediums. Once Menna has sculpted each unique figure she then goes on to use a variety of fabrics, furs and props to create individual costumes, settings and accessories. She also uses her expertise as a jeweller to enhance some of her creations.
Menna can offer her clients the unique opportunity to commission a figure to bring to life their very own Fey fantasies. If you would like to contact the Feysmith with any enquiries please email menna_thefeysmith.co.uk
I found this little fairy in the woods one day!
This fairy was my first attempt at a smaller scale.
I made this fairy for my sister-in-law Melody. We shared a love of collecting mismatched china and I wanted her to have a fairy that lived in her cupboards playing amoungst her cups and plates.
I made this little fairy for my friend Sarah who named her Moss. Sarah is a very talented musician and has composed the piece of music which you can hear on this website.
This was made for ny niece to give as a gift on her friends wedding.
Everyone loves the fairy at the top of the Christmas tree!
Found this fairy flying around my garden and playing in the flowers!
Faya is one of my bigger fairies, she is 20" tall and is one of my favorites.
Zaita was inspired by a painting called 'Princess Hyacinth' done in 1911 by Alphonse Mucha. I just loved the way she was sitting.
Bidalia is a very elegant fairy shes 10" high and has a silver headdress.
Flitter was my first commissioned fairy, she now lives with a lovely lady in Shanklin!
Bramble is an autumn fairy with her golds, orange and yellow colours, watch out for her in September!
Everyone loves a good gossip, and fairies are no exception.
If you make fairies at some point you have to do Titania! This is my interpretation and she is one of 4 figures, the whole diorama will be titled 'When Oberon met Titania.'
Braith is my first gothic fairy.
Casati is a beautiful burlesque fairy with a top hat and cane and feather wings.
Aina isn't finished yet as I still have to make her wings, but I wanted to share her with you. Watch out for updates!
Tiya is the very first fairy I ever made, but after a time I felt I could make her again. I improved her wings and dress and even re-did her hair.
